Saturday August 29th

I am exhausted today. We drove 2 1/2 hrs to a surprise birthday party for my brother in laws 50th birthday. It was nice once we got there to visit with family and friends but I sure am sore and tired today. I am still stressing over whether I passed  the NCLEX exam or not. I do not have a clue and it is driving me nuts! The results should be in the system Monday.
I am trying to figure out how to post pics but just don't see how to do it.
I have decided I just can't finish Jonathan Kellerman's book Bones. It is just too boring. I am about half way through it and the story is just not picking up. I guess I will try one more time though, but after that, it is gone!
I received a wonderful gift in the mail, actually I received 2 gifts this week. I am in some cross stitch groups and I received some beautiful hand dyed fabric and a couple of pretty skeins of hand dyed floss from Carries Creations. That gift was from Meari who gave the gift because I guessed the correct price of an armoire she bought. The next gift was from Cindy Bishop from ESC cross stitch group. It was a Fall Exchange. Once I figure out how to post pics, you can see what all she sent. WOW! I bet there were close to 20 items.
I think it is time for a nap now.

Debbie's Doings Today

Today I plan on taking a practice test through Kaplan and depending on how that turns out will determine whether I decide to reschedule my test in 2 days or not. Wish me luck. I can't wait to get this test behind me so I can start a new chapter in my life. I don't know really what type of job I am looking for but will look at all options.  My "dream" is to start a private retirement home in a "house" setting that houses about 5-6 people. As that one fills up and prospers, I will start another one. I already have names for each of them. There aren't any of this type setting in the city I live so ....shhhhhhhhhh! Then perhaps I can  somewhere find time to cross stitch, read more and attend more grandchildrens games...

Today is going to be a beautiful day it seems. The sun is out and the pool is glistening, inviting me to jump in. I believe I will do just that after I have had my morning coffee and study for awhile.
I am taking my State Board Exam for Registered Nursing License on August 27th and am not prepared. I really need to study alot this weekend. Roger is scheduled to take his Master Electirician's License Exam on August 21st, he hasn't studied either. What are we thinking?
Obviously....we aren't! LOL!
Stefanie has another kidney stone and hasn't been able to go to school or work in a week. We are trying to help her get insurance so she can have surgery because the stones are too large to pass. The largest is 6mm. She is miserable and running a temp of 101-104 all week. The doctor won't admit her without insurance. She is one of those people who are stuck in the middle. She works full time but her job doesn't offer health insurance.
My plan for the day is to cross stitch a little, and I need to get my Fall Exchange in the mail this morning as it is due to be mailed. Then I need to study and clean house.
Granddaughter has a soccer game today and wants me to come. I am just getting over the shingles and am not quite up to wearing fitting clothes yet. Maybe by next week.
